Before I jump to my favorite fragrances of this summer, I have to say that I am a massive fragrance addict. To me scent is very important as it is the one that sets your mood and can tell so much about your personality. After all “a woman’s perfume tells more about her than her handwriting” – isn’t it?
While I always appreciate new fragrances, I generally stay loyal to my old trusty ones. So, here you will find both the perfumes that have been with me for years and I keep re-buying them and the ones that just made their appearance but are already heavily on rotation. Please do let me know if you tried any of these and what are your favourite scents for this summer?
Tom Ford Velvet Orchid | I don’t even need to begin to tell you how much I love Tom Ford fragrances, they are the ones that are hard to forget. Always so exquisite and edgy, it’s impossible not to fell in love with it. This Tom Ford Velvet Orchid became my signature scent this summer, after years of wearing White Patchouli (which I still adore incredibly) I decided it is time for something new and this one was the perfect choice. With notes of bergamot, mandarin, rum, honey, orchid, rose and jasmine, Tom Ford Velvet Orchid is made to tease.
L’Artisan Parfumeur Au Bord De L’eau | This is a new one to the rotation, inspired by the signature work of Claude Monet “On the Bank of the Seine” is a a breathy scent for this summer. With notes of bergamot, lemon, violet, musk, orange blossom and rosemary it’s equally fresh and intriguing.
Tom Ford Noir | This has been the fragrance I’ve worn all throughout the winter and while the scent might be a little bit too heavy for hot summer days, I love to wear it in the evenings or when I have a special event to attend to. It’s perfectly dense and sweet with the notes of mandarin, bitter orange, ginger, rose absolute, jasmine accord, orange blossom, Indian kulfi accord, Madagascar vanilla, amber, Australian sandalwood, and lentisque retinoid.
BYREDO Rose Of No Man’s Land | After having the Rose Of No Man’s Land fragrance and absolutely loving it, I decided to give a try to the roll-on oil version of it and I’m absolutely loving it. It became my holiday fragrance that I always carry around. It is simply made for hot summer days as it doesn’t evaporates as fast as traditional eau de parfum. With notes of pink pepper, Turkish rose petals, papyrus and white amber it makes the perfect combination of masculine and feminine.
